One Day Left to Make a Difference

Image
Throughout the past 12 months, our supporters have given the artists, faculty and staff at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre a wealth of opportunities to rise to new heights. They began celebrations for their 50th Anniversary , witnessed the growth of its Community Youth Scholarship students, launched a campaign to secure live music for the next 50 years and expanded its Dance for Parkinson’s program to the South Hills, among many other accomplishments. The possibilities for 2020 are endless – but only with you in their corner. Will you help to ensure that Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre reaches more people than ever before? With your gift, they can continue to work their magic on stage, in classrooms, in our local communities and beyond. End the year on a good note by supporting your city’s ballet. Becoming a new donor or renewing your tax-deductible gift is a quick and easy process . Time is ticking – add your name to our list of advocates before the ball drops! PREPARE TO GET MESSY ON NEW YEAR’S DAY AT THE SCIENCE CENTER VISITORS ARE INVITED TO START 2020 WITH MESSFEST TRADITION

Image
MessFest, Carnegie Science Center’s one-of-a-kind tradition to kick off the New Year, is back! Free with general admission, the 14th annual messy celebration returns on Wed., Jan. 1 and features the slimiest, yuckiest, and gooiest activities for visitors of all ages. From 10 am to 5 pm, visitors get hands-on (literally) with the gooey substance Oobleck, share their creative side with finger painting, and enjoy a pudding “Pi” eating contest. The Egg Drop activity invites visitors to engineer a package for raw eggs that will protect their “egg-stronauts” as the eggs hurtle over a two-story drop. It’s fun for the whole family and, best of all, parents don’t have to clean up after their kids! Visitors are advised: You WILL get messy, so don’t dress up! Along with activity tables, visitors can experience high-energy, grossly entertaining programs in the Science Center’s BodyStage, presented by Allegheny Health Network. MessFest is presented by PPG and sponsored by WISH 99.7. For more inform
